Proprietor Chris Topham serves as Asbury Provisions' resident beer savant. Chris' path in the service industry began in 1995 while a student at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He has since worked in every facet of the restaurant business and, from 2003-13 he served as award-winning beer director for Eulogy Belgian Tavern in Philadelphia, earning the bar a spot on DRAFT Magazine's list of America's 100 Best Beer Bars five times . At Asbury Provisions, you'll see Chris cultivating a strong, eclectic list of beers, spitting geek-level beer wisdom and standing behind the bar, serving up cold ones to all of the beer-loving masses in the DU neighborhood.
Proprietor Jason Ladd is Asbury Provisions' resident wine and cocktail guru. Jay's industry experience began when he parlayed his passion for food into a career by going to culinary school. He has since worked in every facet of the industry, managing, running and opening restaurants and gaining invaluable experience in both front-end and back-end operations. In his fine-dining experience, Jay found his true calling with wine and cocktails, which has earned him several nods in the media. At Asbury Provisions, you'll find Jay concocting new, hand-crafted cocktails with house-infused booze, teaching the patrons all about the latest wine and serving them well-deserved drinks and a smile.
Proprietor Kelsey Montague serves as Asbury Provisions' lady 'o marketing. Kelsey is a marketing and PR professional, who has created, implemented and led robust, all encompassing marketing campaigns for multiple organizations in consumer services for more than ten years. As Topham's wife, she has spent the last nine years immersed in the restaurant and bar world and likes to think of herself as "in the biz by association." At Asbury Provisions, you'll find Kelsey with her nose in her laptop, crafting the latest blog post, updating the company Facebook page with new pics and, generally, spreading the good word about Asbury Provisions, all with a drink in hand.
